Highlights

Children with disabilities in 2001 were being identified and served earlier than they were in 1987, and that the services provided were more comprehensive.

Since 1987 there has been dramatic changes in the amount and kinds of services for youth with disabilities. increases in vocational services, speech/language therapy, and mental health services were the most widespread.
